Welcome to the Carenet-se homepage. CareNet is an advanced research network infrastructure in Stockholm, Sweden. It is a collaboration between centers of academic excellence and the industry. Participating academic institutions include: KTH - Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden's premiere technical university and Karonliska Institute, Sweden's largest medical university. This project is part of a multi-stakeholder effort that is targeted at transforming the delivery and quality of healthcare to elderly people and outpatients. The project is made possible through support from Vinnova, the Swedish government agency for research and innovation.

Bruce Zamaere is a PhD Candidate under the supervision of Bjorn Pehrson and Peter Sjodin, at the Telecommunication Systems Laboratory of the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). His research is focused on designing and developing a Virtualized Multi-Homed Residential Gateway that supports dynamic service provisioning.

Uppsalahem is one of the larger municipal housing companies in Sweden. The role of Uppsalahem in the project is to facilitate access to selected homes of patients and stand-by healthcare workers and provide user requirements and feedback on proposals for implementation of support systems for home health care.

Uppsalahem will help to strengthen the municipality's development by highly qualified own, manage and build residential properties that offer accommodation for the different phases in life. Over 25 000 Uppsala residents have their homes in one of Uppsala Hem 13 400 dwellings.
